INFORMATION & SUPPORT WEBSITES:

Breast Cancer Care provides information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by   breast cancer.   Contact the nurse and talk to other women on the forums.

 

Cancerbackup is the leading national information and support charity for people affected by any type of cancer.   They have a helpline and can supply information and booklets.

 

Macmillan Cancer Relief gives help to people living with cancer through practical and emotional support.   Grants are available to help with the costs associated with cancer.

 

Look Good Feel Better offers professionally run beauty workshops in hospitals (Leicester Royal Infirmary is the nearest) for women living with cancer.

 

Life After Five  is a new website aimed at women who have survived five years since being diagnosed with breast cancer.  It offers advice to survivors and their families.

MELTON & RUTLAND CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

The Melton and Rutland Cancer Support Group meets monthly at the Samworth Centre, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray on the first Thursday in each month at 10.00 a.m.   Anyone affected by any kind of cancer will be made welcome.
